New jobless claims rose to their highest levels in six months.
It is said that new jobless claims rose to their highest levels in six months this week with the nation unemployment rate staying pretty much steady at around 9.5 % .
Could it be that that Jet Blue flight attendant has started a trend and that workers everywhere are deploying their emergency chutes to bailout of their jobs and start filling unemployment paper?

Unemployment rate rises in June
According to a report by the Labor Department, the U.S. unemployment rate rose to 9.5 percent in June, a 26-year high, and 14.7 million Americans are estimated to be out of work.
The rising unemployment rate is affecting all but two states, North Dakota and Nebraska, the Wall Street Journal reports.
All of a sudden, North Dakota and Nebraska sound very sexy.
