Ohio woman sues lost dog owner for refusing to pay reward.

An Ohio woman has hired an attorney and is suing the owner of a chihuahua for $15,000 for refusing to pay her the promised $1000 reward for returning her lost pet.
To lawyer representing the plaintiff, you don't want your career to end on that note and be remembered as the chihuahua reward lawyer.

Senate passed a bill allowing guns in checked baggage.

Last week, the Senate passed a bill allowing passengers on Amtrak trains to transport handguns in their checked baggage.
Needless to say, all the country's rappers and professional athletes have traded away their Mercedes for stack of Amtrak tickets.

T.Mobile drops plan to charge for paper billing.

According to Associated Press, bending to intense pressures, T.Mobile has dropped plans to begin charging its customers $1.50 a month in order to receive a paper copy of their bill in the mail.
It sounded like a bad idea from the get go to charge people just so they can see the dreaded paper containing the monthly ransom.

Shower heads found to spray bacteria

A new study published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences by researchers at the University of Colorado has found up to more than 15 kinds of bacteria in shower heads. They say that these shower heads harbor tiny bacteria that come spraying into your face when you wash.
accross the country.
So now all those office workers with that funky smell have an excuse to why: "it"s just not worth the risk getting sick and miss some time from work."

Iraqi shoe thrower is released from jail.

Muntadar al-Zaidi the Iraqi journalist that threw a shoe at president Bush during a news conference last year in Baghdad was released from prison on Tuesday after serving nine months.
Obama beware: the guy was seen the next day at a Baghdad Pay Less shoe store shopping for some oversized shoes.

Elton John banned from adopting Ukrainian child.

Elton John and his partner David Furnish have been deemed not suitable to adopt a 14 years old Ukrainian boy because of a ban of gay adoption and the fact that they are both over the age of 45 which is the limit to adopt in that country.
What's wrong with these celebrities always picking the wrong country for adoption?

Wind farms activities blamed for false tornado alerts.

Their are reports that the effects created by wind farms activities have been picked up by radars at some weather centers around the country and mistaken as signs of tornadoes prompting meteorologists to issue alerts.
For all these years that meteorologists have been fooling us, isn't it nice that some men built objects are fooling them now?

It is reported that two automakers are negotiating with Bob Dylan for the right to use his voice in their upcoming GPS systems.
My advice to potential owners of such cars: " Anytime you plan to use your GPS device, first make sure that you have a tank full of gas."

Federsal Reserve makes $14bn profit on bailout money.

According to the Financial Times, the Federal Reserve has made a $14 bn profit on the bailout money handed out to the financial sector since two years ago.
"The Fed was not immediately available for comment on the report." the article concluded.
What? Are they too embarrassed that they turned a profit?

Study finds texting dangerous while driving.

An new study by the Virginia Tech Transportation Institute based on laboratory research and released last week revealed a secret: contrary to previous estimates, texting while driving is actually 23 more dangerous.
I guess the previous estimates were done by the cell phone industry lobby groups.

Trace of cocaine found in ninety percent of dollar bills in the U.S. and Canada.

According to the National Geographic News, researchers at the University of Massachusetts in Dartmouth have found that nearly ninety percent of all dollar bills in circulation in the U.S. and Canada have tested positive with some trace of cocaine.
All these yellings and shovings at town hall meetings accross the country now make perfect sense.

Fight with Oakland Raiders head coach, sent assistant to the hospital.


The NFL is investigating allegations that the Oakland Raiders head coach Tom Cable got into a fight with one of his assistant and punched him in the face breaking his jaw.
People around the country may be surprised with this news, but in Raiders country, they called it tradition.

Army will let any member contribute in writing doctrine.

Taking a page from Wikipedia, the U.S. Army has started a three months pilot program encouraging its members regardless of ranking, to go online and freely contribute any idea to any of seven field manuals that give instructions on all aspects of Army life.
Is the military quietly moving from "don't ask, don't tell" to "Please, tell" ?
