Massachusetts is suing the U.S. government over gay marriage.
According to the Associated Presse, Massachusetts is suing the U.S. government over a 1996 federal law that defines a marriage as a union between a man and a women and deemed discriminatory for denying federal benefits to same-sex couples.

Same-sex couples to receive Medicaid benefits.
Also on Thursday , Massachusetts became the first state allowing same-sex married couples to receive Medicaid benefits even though same-sex marriages are still a no-no under the federal law. That will force the state to cough up the dough.
So all things seem well then : If uncle Sam does not want to pay, uncle Sammy will pick up the tab.
