Pope Benedict XVI named as defendant in lawsuit against Church.
Three men in Kentucky have filled a lawsuit against the Catholic Church with Pope Benedict XVI named as a defendant for sexual abuses they suffered in the hands of priests in the Commonwealth years ago.
It is said that the Vatican is already mounting an aggressive legal defense that it hopes will shield the Pope against the claims of negligence.
There strategy? They said they Googled Kentucky and could not see it on the Internet.

Obama meets Pope.
In Italy attending the G8 summit, President Obama took some time out of his schedule to meet for the first time with Pope Benedict XVI in the Vatican. The Pope took advantage of the occasion to remind Mr Obama of his opposition to abortion rights and embryonic stem-cell research.
At the end of their meeting, and after they exchanged gifts, president Obama quietly asked the Pope for a prayer to keep Vice President Bidden's tongue in check.

Pope calls for a new world economic order.
On the eve of the G-8 summit in Italy, Pope Benedict XVI openly criticized the current world economic system as being solely based on greed and amoral fascination with wealth.
He called for the creation of a "true world political authority to oversee the economy and work for the common good."
He then turned around and returned to his gold plated mansion.

Pope Benedict XVI finds pursuit of money and success pointless.

With the global financial crisis as a backdrop, Pope Benedict XVI took a shot at the core of capitalism, money and materialism by saying in a speech at the Vatican Sunday that "those who seek success, career or money, are building on sand." He went on to say that people should instead live their lives based on God's word.
I wonder where is God's word that Christians need to elect for life a Pope wearing gold studded clothing and hats and with the lifestyle of a King.
