$700 bailout deal aggreed upon, waits for vote.
Lawmakers finished writing the $700 billion bailout bill late Sunday and it is headed to Congress for vote today. And after all those days of grandstanding and muscle flexing, many details of the bill are left up to Treasury Secretary Paulson to figure out. Among the left out details are "which assets is the U.S. government going to buy and at what price."
Is it anything new here? I think the American people are used to buying a pig in a bag. Seven and a half years into George Bush presidency, they still do not know what they got with their votes.
