Irish snub EU.
In a referendum held Friday, Irish voters rejected by 53% to 47% the Lisbon Treaty whose ratification by all 27 EU countries is needed for it to become law of the land. In case you were wondering , the Lisbon Treaty is a decade old sort of Constitution for EU and when adopted , would have among other things, created a presidency and one single diplomacy for the Union.
The lesson here, just like with Florida, never trust an Irish with a ballot.
