Microsoft is pursuing Yahoo again.

Two weeks after abandoning its unsolicited bid t o buy Yahoo for more than $50 billion, Microsoft is said to have resumed its effort to hook up with the Internet search company. This time, the software giant is less ambitious up front. It is proposing some sort of partnership that will allow it to run advertisements alongside search results on Yahoo. But, Microsoft has left the doors open to the possibility of making a new bid for the entire company.
This sounds much like a familiar story: gays and lesbians fighting for the right to marry, but will settle for a civil union.
